ARTIST STATEMENT
Being invited to Hill End Press gave me a wonderful opportunity
to develop my drawings into drypoint prints. Genevieve and Bill
suggested drypoint as a direct approach for my drawings and
this enabled me to experiment with chine colle in the printing
process as well.
After working at the Press for two weeks last year I developed a
body of work that I exhibited at The Doctors Gallery Darlinghurst
Sydney and the series was put into the Hill End Press stationery
range.
Working in this environment really developed and expanded my
art practice and introduced me to these great techniques. The
natural landscape of Hill End alone is enough to spark all
kinds of inspiration.
